Join us for a rollicking event with a taste of Newfoundland. If you've never been to an east coast kitchen party, now is your chance! There will be east coast music by the Horse's Mouth featuring songs by Great Big Sea and other east coast musicians. This event offers an opportunity to get involved and sing along to some favorite tunes or dance a jig. Mummers are unique to Newfoundland and a couple of our members would like to give you a taste of their unique Canadian culture by putting on a show.

There will also be a screech in ceremony making you feel like you're really in Newfoundland. Bring along spoons, or a pot and a wooden spoon, if you want to make some noise, we will also have some for noisemakers for you if you forget. We will be offering an Ugli stick making workshop closer to the event, this noisemaker is unique to Newfoundland and will be unique to you if you decide to make one, examples can be seen at this link Handmade Newfoundland Ugly Stick - Breakdown Model - 5706.
